Belleisle’s songs are catchy and upbeat, with pretty, memorable melodies – beautiful little islands that house something unexpectedly dark; the lyrics tell twisted stories of unfulfilled love and awkward rejection. Formed as a recording project in 2010, Belleisle has expanded over the years to include literally dozens of the city’s best players. Its live shows are constantly evolving with new songs and new musicians at every performance; no two shows are the same.
