The Leadfoot Band is Chicago’s freshest post-bluegrass with tasty grooves served up spicy how you like it with lightening fast delivery.’ Jaik Willis. Founding themselves on bluegrass roots over a decade ago in the concrete jungle and bluegrass mecca of the southside of Chicago, The Leadfoot Band have branched out in all directions from there. Incorporating their love of bluegrass with their early urban influences of rock , funk and everything in between, the evolution of the band is hard to place. Fans have said Leadfoot is just hard driving bluegrass, some say they are rock infused jamgrass, or even a bastard child of Bill Monroe meets Metallica.
